Prior to 2022

VIVO Institute in Ahmedabad, India

Sponsored 12 students in EMT course. Course duration was 6 months.

In Vadodara, India, 13 students were sponsored for a General Duty Assistant (GDA) course. Hostel accommodations were provided for girls from villages.

Nirashrit Balashram in Rajkot, India

Sponsored highly qualified student from Rajkot orphanage in the field of Network Security by funding technical training in Vector Institute in Bangalore. He is very successful and rising in ranks.

We are also helping children in Balashram and providing fees to needy students in Rajkot for school.

Stopping child abuse in India

Sponsored to publish and distribute handbook on child abuse for Pediatricians and medical professionals, in collaboration with ICANCL (Indian Child Abuse Neglect and Child Labor) Group.

Vocational training in India

GKHET has partnered with BBIT (Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology is a grant-in-aid and self-financed Polytechnic managed by Charotar Vidya Mandal, V.V. Nagar, Gujarat, in providing vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, AC repair, Tailoring, refrigeration, plumbing and beautician.

Vocational training was provided to inmates at Bilodra Jail who are soon to be released, in the fields of being a basic electrician, plumber and refrigeration repairman. Female inmates are taught fashion design/sewing. The goal is to leave the jail with skills that will lead to gainful employment/rehabilitation upon release.

GKHET is proud to have partnered with SHWAS foundation.

Under this program we have adopted a school in the slums of Ahmedabad for tutoring, after school programs including Education, culture, sports and free daily dinner for all the students in the center. We are also teaching students about overall growth and personal hygiene. The toughest challenge is to convince kids to come for after school programs so often we have to give them incentives to come to the center.

GKHET is proud to also have partnered with the BUDS foundation in Delhi, India.

In collaboration with BUDS foundation, GKHET is helping fund vocational education in computer science, sewing, beautician courses to 47 youth. We are also providing open schooling to about 100 school dropouts in the hopes of getting the students to graduate high school and making them self-sufficient by providing them with vocational training.
